Paris Photo & Polycopies 2025
Paris Photo 2025
Dates: Nov 13 (Thurs) – Nov 16 (Sun), 2025
Venue: Grand Palais, Paris (Booth A06)
We are pleased to announce our debut at Paris Photo 2025 held Thursday, November 13th to Sunday, November 16 at the Grand Palais, Paris.
This year at Paris Photo, Zen Foto Gallery will be presenting two Japanese female photographers, Tamiko Nishimura and Hideka Tonomura, who embody both the tradition and the future of Japanese photography.
Nishimura exhibits original vintage prints from the late 1960s through to the 1970s, revealing the poetic shadows and corporeal sensibility hidden in everyday life. Tonomura, in turn, juxtaposes vintage prints from her debut series “Mama Love” with her new color series “Soul Trip”, a meditation on her grandparents’ cross-border love, reexamining the universality of love.
Entitled “Love of Shadows — Two Women’s Stories”, this exhibition marks a fateful encounter between two women of different generations, illuminating the aesthetics of shadow and the deep narrative unique to Japanese photography. Through their uniquely feminine, visceral, and sensory gaze, the exhibition reveals the shadows and stories that “Love of Shadows” conveys.
