Zen Foto Gallery is pleased to present “Milky Way”, a solo exhibition of Kanaria’s work from Friday, 22 August to Saturday, 6 September. This marks the 15th solo exhibition of Kanaria at Zen Foto Gallery since 2011, and will feature approximately 30 new summery watercolour paintings.

On Saturday, 23 August, the artist will be performing live watercolour painting as part of the opening event. We would be delighted if you would join us for a pleasant evening of refreshments while Kanaria creates the works.

The Milky Way — the galaxy shining in the night sky.

Its name originates from Greek mythology. Zeus tried to make Heracles immortal by having him drink Hera’s breast milk, but Hera refused.

Zeus then forced Heracles to drink while Hera was asleep. Hera was caught by surprise and woke up. When she brushed him off, her breast milk flowed out.

The abundance of mother’s milk is the source of life, made from blood.
