Zen Foto Gallery is pleased to present “Sur l’herbe”, a solo exhibition by artist Kanaria held from Friday, June 5 to Saturday, June 20. This marks Kanaria’s 16th solo exhibition at Zen Foto Gallery since 2011, and will feature her latest oil paintings. An opening reception will be held on Saturday, June 6.

Artist Profile

Kanaria

Born in Osaka in 1987, Kanaria graduated from Tama Art University Tokyo in 2011, specializing in oil painting. She moved to Paris in 2014 and obtained her postgraduate diploma at the Beaux-Arts de Paris in 2017. After participating in the artist residency programme at Cité Internationale des Arts, Paris and Cabane Georgina, Marseille, she moved back to Japan in 2020. Kanaria has since been actively participating in exhibitions in Japan and abroad. Since her first solo exhibition at Zen Foto Gallery in August 2011, Kanaria has held solo exhibitions at the gallery every summer. This year marks the 16th year of our collaboration.
